ARMA 3 takes place in the near future in 2035. Players take the role of Captain Scott Miller a British Special Forces officer. ARMA 3 can be played in both third person and first person view modes. Several vehicle including tanks cars, motorcycles, helicopters and quads can be driven by players in game.
The player is a regular soldier a Corporal who’s part of a NATO peacekeeping mission in the Mediterranean. This was not a decision we made lightly Arma 3 project lead Joris Jan van’t Land said. As game creators we love developing and playing through campaigns so to those awaiting ours we say.
This should allow the army sim to emerge from beta sooner at the cost of staggering its content. However with the US more concerned about its interests and influence in the Pacific and traditional European powers looking inwards at theri flatlining economies and mass unemployment it’s become something of an unaffordable operation.
